D&D Family Law Attorneys Participates in the Run for Rwanda

NJ family law firm raises $1,650 to help bring clean water to the people of Rwanda

Clinton, N.J. (November 11, 2019)—DeTorres & DeGeorge Family Law Attorneys took to the streets of Parsippany, NJ on Oct. 19 to participate in the Run for Rwanda 5K. Together, the team raised $1,650 for the Liquid Church Clean Water Cause and the people of Rwanda.

Approximately 25% of Rwandans lack access to safe water, an essential element for basic human wellness.  The 2019 Run for Rwanda supported Rwanda’s ambitious goal to become the first country in Africa with 100% clean water. For the millions of Rwandans, access to clean water will ultimately transform their health, safety, education and livelihoods.

“Many of us take for granted the prolific availability of clean water that comes from our tap, whenever and wherever we desire it,” said Rosanne DeTorres, Managing Partner, DeTorres & DeGeorge. “Meanwhile hundreds of millions of people around the globe are drinking and bathing in dirty water filled with microbes and bacteria. At DeTorres & DeGeorge, we are proud to be part of a cause that’s helping more people get access to clean drinking water, making an impact in the health, safety, education, and livelihoods of so many.”

Funds raised during the run will be allocated specifically to the organization’s WASH program (water access, sanitation, hygiene) in the Ruhango district, as well as hygiene training in the region of Busasamana. For more information or to make a donation, click here.
